Moe's Contemporary Mexican Restaurant

We ate at Moe's Restaurant today, oddly.  But I like Moe's and the way the staff greets you with their famous greetings "WELCOME TO MOE'S"  loudly.  While my friend ran inside to use the restroom... I was taken back by the garden outside.  I posted those pictures prior.  Anyway... as I waited for my friend, another customer walked in and ordered he's food.  I usually order the homewrecker.  Which is like a big ass, fully loaded burrito.  But as I saw his food being prepared, I decided to try it.  and oh my gosh... its soo good and plenty.  Plenty enough for two to eat and get full.

at Moe's Restaurant on Vineville Avenue in Macon Georgia.

So this is tortilla chips, black beans, chicken, lettuce, olives, salsa, cheese is that white stuff, is melted cheese, and side of jalapeno peppers for a little kick.  I can't remember what they call it.  I just ordered it because the guy in from of me did and it looked so yummy.

Suprised by a Vegetable Garden

We decided not to go to our usual spot and visit one of our past favorite restaurant to eat.  Yep, its "WELCOME TO MOE'S".  As we arrived and me getting out of the vehicle... I was welcome by the orthodox vegetable garden that I never notice before.  Or maybe it was just planted not to long ago and finally now blossoming.  I quickly notice okras, green tomatoes, green peppers, and what look like smaller size sun flowers.  I'm not really sure what type off flowers they are.

it looks like some hot peppers

i think its a smaller type of sunflower.

but the pink threw me off.

mot or butterfly?

small green tomatoes?

peppers and okras

egg planst been ready to be eaten. overdue.

I didn't know okras grew up and didn't hang like vines and poiint down.

delicious eggplants.  just the way I remembe them as growing up.

Lunch at Panera Bread again

Panera has been voted as the “Best Place to eat in Macon” for blogger like me.  For $9.61 you get half of any of their cafe sandwiches and bowl soup with a side order of a piece a baguette,  apple or homemade potato chips.  You also get a fountain drink, sweet tea for me. and a choice of their delicious sweet pastry.  My choice for today’s lunch is the cheese pastry.

But what makes Panera Bread my choice of dining is of-course their FREE Wi-fi and relaxing atmosphere.  There are plenty of nooks and comfortable seatings for a power blogger like me.  Not to mention, if you are getting groggy… you can purchase a cup of coffee for a boost of energy to keep you surfing the world wide web.   Plus the management or staff doesn’t bother you if you stay for couple of hours of so taking advantage of their free wifi.

Overall a great place to work and eat at the same time.

Public Transportation in Macon Georgia Sucks!

If you have to depend on public transportation in Macon, DON'T!  Do not depend solely on the Macon Transit Authority to get you to work.  You will be very disappointed.  I'm telling you base on my experience. Today is the third time in a row that something happens to the bus.

MTA - Westgate Bloomfield never showed up for the 8:07 am scheduled.  Just now arriving at 9:22.  Fucking bus driver tells me the bus broke down.  lol!  The only thing I can do is laugh shit.

I arrived at the bus stop at 7:50.  I was waiting for the 8:07 am bus, which of course never showed up.  When I called from cell phone the terminal station... they tell me that the bus is about 10 minutes late and they cannot dispatched the bus driver because he's radio is freaking broke.  Ok... so... I wanted like a fool for 20 minutes and ofcourse the bus never showed.  I end up waiting for the next bus which arrived at 9:22 am.  So I've been waiting for this fucking bus for over an hour.  And the only reason why I waited with patient is because I'm just in need to go to the bank and cash my check.  Could you imagine if I was waiting for the bus to take me to work... I would have gotten fired by now!!
at the Terminal Station

So I again folks DO NOT DEPEND ON MACON TRANSIT AUTHORITY OR THE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION for your ride to work.  They don't give a shit about you!!!  And then on top of that the second bus that I needed to take me to the bank, which is a transfer was also late... So I didn't get to my destination till around 12 noon today.  And then they got the nerve to charge you $1.75 for the fucking ride.  lol!

Wait a Minute!!! Bus Schedule!! Ok, they get a 1 point for Trying!

Macon Public Transportation Really Sucks!!!

Let me elaborate further on the proof of the pudding, that MTA-Mac doesn't give a shit about bus riders.  The Bus Station was once located on Poplar Street.  Now Poplar Street was the perfect area for all the bus to meet.  This area was perfect because it was close to the little shops... like the Pastry shop on the corner of 2nd Street and Poplar, the Herb Store, Grocery Store... and other retail outlet.  It is also walking distance to Cherry Street close to the banks and other restaurants.  But MTA officials decided that FUCK THE RIDERS... WE DONT' GIVE A SHIT ABOUT THEM..ESPECIALLY THE ELDERLY!!. "Let's move the station to the Terminal Station where all of the Museums are located and you have to walk for fucking miles for the nearest store!!!"  Who the hek were they trying to please!  Did they even do a survey from the bus riders to see if would prefer to wait at the terminal station or on keep on Poplar Street!!!
Waiting for the bus at the Terminal Station.  The Terminal station has gotten an uplift... They get another point for that for trying.  But this area is still not conducive for small city like Macon.  Its like TERMINAL.  lol!

As I was speaking to an elderly today about that situation... She even stated that she doesn't feel safe at the Terminal Station.  Ofcourse there's hardly nonone there after hours not even a security guard.  MTA Officials really help to kill downtown especially the Poplar Street because of that stupid decision to move the bus station off Poplar Street!!!  Dumb Asses!!!  Now you don't see anyone but bums hanging out on the new renovated Poplar Street.  lol!
Just another shot of Macon Bus

Lunch at Cheddar's

Cheddar's Logo

We decided to take a bite at Cheddar's Casual Cafe for lunch today.  I wasn't really hungry because I just ate some strawberries and blueberries.  So I just shared the appetizers he ordered, the buffalo chicken tenders, which comes with fries and two kinds of sauce, but we always pair it the ranch sauce.  It looked so delicious and enticing that I forgot to take picture of the dish. By the time it was almost done, it was then that I realize that I forgot to snap the photo.

I was full from the appetizer.  But he ordered the Dijon Chicken Dinner, which comes with two breast chicken and two side orders.  We went for the carrots and broccoli.  It was a bit two salty for me or maybe the Dijon was so much it was overwhelming.  Covered with the Dijon sauce with plenty of mushrooms it was definitely an eye appetizing meal.  But I wasn't that impress due to its saltiness.

Strawberry Pink Lemonade.  It actually comes with fresh strawberries slices in the drink.  It looked very good but I'm not a big fan of lemonade.  I just had ice water

Macon Transit Authority Sucks!

Macon public transportation system sucks!  Just a couple of weeks ago, I stood on front of the bus waiting for West Bloomfield bus on Deeb and Bloomfield Road.  I waited nearly an hour in a hot sunny day!  and the fucking bus never showed up.  So I walked back home to call the MTA and they told me that the fucking bus no longer go in my neighborhood due to security issues.  What!!!  Why the fuck they didn't updated their website, put a fucking press release out, or something before doing this shit...  I mean people could loose their job just by fucking being late or not showing up at all.  What am I gonna tell my boss, the bus doesn't go through my neighborhood any longer?

So today, after giving up on the whole public transportation thing, I decided to give them another chance, because I lack choices!  So I called MTA first to verify that the bus is still on route and on schedule and the operator assured me that bus is just running about 10 minutes late but definitely on route.  So off I go to the bus stop once again on the corner of Deeb and Bloomfield Road.  After almost another hour of waiting... I called Macon Transit Authority once again and this bitch tells me the fucking bus broke down.
That corner is suppose to be a bus stop.  Do you see the pole to let you know that this is an MTA bus stop?  That's right, so if I'm a new bus rider, how the fuck would I know if the fucking bus even stops there?  THEY ARE SO FUCKING STUPID!!!

I'm done with Macon Public Transportation.  They really sucks, ignorant, and incompetent.  The system doesn't even have a bus schedule.  Being from Jacksonville and a constant bus rider, the JTA or Jacksonville Transit Authority have bus schedule located inside the bus and are constantly filled.   Each bus have their very own bus schedule.  MTA have a huge poster size freaking bus schedule, what happened if one bus route change their schedule... do they have to print this glossy humongous schedule all over again.  That is just so stupid!  Who the hek is running this shit anyway?

MTA Bus Stop located on Riverside Drive in front of Cheddar's Restaurant.  But they lack these signs or pole on Bloomfield area.  As the picture showed above, corner of Deeb and Bloomfield Road, there isn't a sign indicating that its a bus stop.  Thats how prejudice they are, or either that they're kissing the white neighborhood's ass!.  Who catches the bus more the Bloomfield or Riverside?

They lack benches for bus riders who are waiting for the bus.  The bus sign pole doesn't have name of the bus or title of the bus,  so you don't really know what bus comes in your area and which schedule to look at.  Who ever is running the system ... should definitely take a week, a month or a fucking day to ride their program and they will see what type of services they are lacking.  BITCHES!!!

NONE OF THESE MOTHER-FUCKERS RIDES THE BUS!  AND THEY DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT BUS FUCKING RIDERS!!!! THEY NEED TO SHOVE THEIR FUCKING SUV UP THEIR ASS!

MACON TRANSIT AUTHORITY SUCKS!!!!

So what are the other options, Move out of Macon!

Market City Cafe

Located to 502 Cherry Street on downtown Macon, they serve breakfast, lunch and and now dinner on Friday and Saturday.  They are known for their decadent desserts but today I have ordered a CHINESE CHICKEN SALAD with rice noodles.

But the waitress talked me into ordering a banana nut muffin while I wait for this business meeting.  I was really taken by the texture and it was very delicious.

and so my chinese chicken salad have arrived.

No need for salad dressing.

Pieces of chicken, lettuce, rice noodles, tangerines, red cabbage, and whatever is this sweet taste of dressing. Its good

Another rainy night

I poured rain tonight.  We kinda got stock at Subway downtown.  and my friend literally go scared and took her children in the bathroom in fear of tornadoes.  I was actually welcoming it.  Waiting for some excitement to  happen.  I know that might seem crazy.  But I guess I have to thank the most high that he blessed us with another safe evening away from natural disasters.

July the 4th Weekend

July the 4th Weekend was gorgeous.  I had to step outside and take my bike for a ride at my favorite park to be, Ocmulgee River Trail.  You'll see all kinds of people doing all kinds of recreational activities at this park.  You'll see people jogging, family taking a long walk, bike riding and all kinds of non motorize wheels such as scooters and tree wheels bikes with little cute people on 'em, kayaking, or simply enjoying the sun.

Tattnall Square Park in Macon

You can either ride your bike around the park or through the park.

The park has many shaded area which makes it perfect for picnic.

There are four different types of trees in this photo.  But the park has its share of Magnolia trees.

Park maintenance crew were present when I was taking these photos.  I never use the restroom of this park, but I do believe they have one.

Mercer University right adjacent to the park.  You would think college students will take advantage of this beautiful park, but I guess due to recent criminal activity where a man got shot and rob here makes it hard to enjoy this park.

Central City Park of Macon

According to the tablet below this gazebo which I call a cupola is actually called "The Speakers Stand".
I had no idea it had some significant history attached to the confederates.  Ouch!  I saw it a perfect place to get married.  Anyway this park is called CENTRAL CITY PARK of Macon Georgia.  Its located at the edge of downtown Macon.  It's primarily used for the annual Cherry Blossom Festival.  Which is fills up the park with thousands of people from all over.  Anyway the park has a playground for children and grille for cooking out.  Unlike the Ocmulgee Heritage Park by the River, you're not allowed to have a cook out.  And there are plenty of picnic tables and gazebos.  It also have a water fountains and a small wooden arch bridge.  But the water fountain were not on yesterday while I took these photos.  The park also house a baseball field. The park is definitely perfect for bike riding.  You can criss cross through the many paths in the park.

This tablet erected by SIDNEY LANIER CHAPTER
United Daughters of the Confederacy

While in the city to attend a reunion of confederate veterans Jefferson Davis Ex-President of the Confederate states of America addressed the veterans from this speakers stand on Wednesday October 26, 1887 on the following Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Davis held a levee for children greeting thousands of them from this stand Mr. Davis stood near the center, resting his hand on a small table while Mrs. Davis sat at his left.

that's my bike

Landscape of Central City Park of Macon

I have no idea why they placed this train as a feature close to the entrance at the park.

The first time I really paid attention to this building.  Freight Station?

There goes that bike again.

Where the annual Used Book Sale is held.

Love the circular engineering of this building.  It reminds me of a mosque.

But then it contains four of this on each side.  Making this building not a circle but a square.  Must be some masonic involve in building this facility.

Where to get free Wi-Fi in Macon?

1. Joshua Cup Coffee House 2.Panera Bread 3. Most of McDonald's Restaurants 4.Krystal Fast Food Restaurants 5.Starbucks - My favorite is probably Starbucks and McDonalds because they allow you to stay as long as you want without them giving you any hassle. Plus All the listing here except for Krystals have places for you to plug in your laptop for extra needed power.
