Considered real authentic Mexican food.  And because I’m practicing vegetarian-ism, I tried the cacti dish.  It’s different. It’s not terrible and I am glad I tasted it.  But I wouldn’t order it again, maybe.

This is a vegetarian dish at Laparilla Mexican restaurant in Macon Georgia.  I still wonder why the Warner Robins Georgia location shut down.  I’m happy to see the Riverside location in Macon is still open.

Homelessness is a norm in every city through out United States.  Macon Georgia is not immune to it.  People with jobs have a tough time paying rent or mortgage.  So imagine the people who don't have jobs and have more issues that the lack of jobs.  Mental illness, drug or alcohol disease can play a big role in homelessness or sometimes just plain 'ole bad luck.  and in just about every state or city in America, homelessness is criminalize.  

I hope and pray that Macon-Bibb get these people some help and get them off this condition.  Because as a people, we aught to be better than this.  I once heard somebody said that it will cost the government less if the government provide the homeless community a tiny houses than allowing this issue to continue without some sort of solution.

Amerson Park in Macon

We decided to take a walk in Amerson Park this weekend to see if the level of the water risen.  But as you can see you can still see the sand dunes on the edge or the river.  It rain for a couple of days.  I thought it rained enough to raise the level of the water to its natural cost.  

It really take more than a couple of visit to really take this park all in.  It has many places to keep you in awe.  

I love how they build these stairs to reach the ravine of the river to really take it all in and even much closer to nature.  Specially after all week long work inside the office.

Dog walking on tattnall square park

Love all the updates done to this park and I hope they continue to manage and upkeep it as beautiful as it is.   Tattnall square park is a great park with plenty of parking space, sidewalks to walk your dogs, and just a great overal place to get some walking or running.

Cycling in Macon

Tricycle on Cherry Street.  I pray that one day Macon will become a beacon for bicycle transportation.  We are marking progress.  They have added rent a bike but I don’t know how well they are doing.  I don’t see many riding them.  They did have a station at the library on College Street and Tubman Museum, but again I haven’t checked lately their progress.  We do have a couple of organization in Macon that are pushing for a bike friendly city and I think it’s time we join them.

 New cycling infrastructure in Macon Georgia. I love seeing bikes in Macon it shows that our city is heading towards the right path. And I hope Macon will continue To grow our bicycle community. We need more bicycle path  in a safe way to travel with a bicycle. I think bicycle can really make a big impact in Macon Georgia in a good way. Riding a bicycle gives people accessible and cheap transportation to get to and from destinations quickly efficiently healthy.   Which cycling is the main transportation you have no need for Karen shows registration expensive gas emissions can you get exercise and can really enjoy the outdoors.
