Shots around town, Macon Georgia

On my way to get free wifi tonight I snap some photos of Macon.

This is Forsyth Street, you can see the well lit sign of the famous S&H Restaurant.  This street was once called Cotton Avenue and now an organization is trying to revive it and they call themselve the "Cotton Avenue Revival".  The Georgia Informer Newspaper, an African American specialized newspaper is also located on this street.

Macon Police Hit and Run

My daughter called me frantically and sounded really distraught.  On her way to work tonight, my daughter and her boyfriend was hit by Macon Police.  According to her, the person who was driving a police car was speeding and hit their car on Highway 75.   The police then turned their siren on and got off the exit and tuned their siren lights off.  But instead of stopping, the Macon police just took off and left the scene.

By the grace of The Most High, no one was really injured.  Her boyfriend's car now has a dent and  a damaged rear view mirror.  She was really annoyed by the Police Supervisor, who was asking if the driver of the vehicle is Black or White.  "The car was fucking speeding!" my daughter aggravated respond.  Just to be pre-cautious, her and her boyfriend will be attending the emergency room first thing tomorrow.  I'm so happy that her boyfriend's mother works at Geico.

Where to get free Wi-Fi in Macon?

1. Joshua Cup Coffee House 2.Panera Bread 3. Most of McDonald's Restaurants 4.Krystal Fast Food Restaurants 5.Starbucks - My favorite is probably Starbucks and McDonalds because they allow you to stay as long as you want without them giving you any hassle. Plus All the listing here except for Krystals have places for you to plug in your laptop for extra needed power.
