Where to chill in Macon on the weekend

 

After a long week of work, my energy is mostly depleted.  I come here to grab some tea and find a best seller for $5 like this book "Liar's Beach"by Katie Cotugno

You just can't go wrong with Barnes and Nobles.  It's family friendly and you'll sure find something for the entire family.  Did I mention they have a little cafe "Starbucks" inside.

I just wish, they bring back some of those comfy chairs. 

I know the Covid era changed a lot of things, but surely they can find some seatings to replace them.  I do like the cafe and you'll often find me sitting there on the weekend. 

Sometimes I treat myself for something fun like this book "The Big Book of Super Cute Things to Draw"

Sure there are plenty of Dairy Queens around.  But here in Macon there's only one DQ that does the Tropical Blizzard right and that's the DQ on Bloomfield Road in Macon

Best park for dogs in Macon

 

I have to say the best park in Macon Georgia for your four legged friends is Carolyn Crayton Park in downtown.  I take my Hershey to this park without leash because there’s hardly anybody around.  That is if you go all the way to the back of the park.  She roams freely and enjoys the park without a leash.

I've been in Macon for over 25 years and I never thought I'll see the day that UNION FURNITURE GOES OUT OF BUSINESS.  

Seen a truck advertising more of their 'GOING OUT OF BUSINESS FOREVER!" sign and it further reads that the building or property is for sale.

I say it’s all about the crust. We often always order a large cheese pie.  It’s about $11 bucks.  Which in this economy, it’s good when a couple can have lunch for $11 bucks.
