Downtown Macon is under construction
Poplar and 2nd Street is still under construction. I have no idea why. But I just snapped some photos today for the hek of it. This is the corner where I usually catch several buses through out the week.

No matter how many times, I've taken photos of this magnificent structure, it always demands more photos. and I simply comply. St. Joseph Catholic Church of Macon Georgia, is a must see architectural beauty. They don't build churches like this anymore.
I was doing laundry one day on Rocky Creek Rd in Macon. While waiting for my clothes to finish washing, I got bored and decided to walk around the premises to kill time and see what is going on around here. and I found this awesome friendly for feline facility. But what I really love is their use of toddler's bed.
I love this Library. I think because of it's interior, easy access, friendly staff, historical section, lots of lounging area, cozy seats, oh and ofcourse the books. Which I know, one day will be no more. There will only be ebooks. But not complaining about that. There are much advantages of that outcome, such ass, less trees that will be needed to create books and other publications. That's good for the environment.
Anyway, 'nough of that. Had to snap these photos to share them here.
I've been noticing lately, that businesses are beginning to flock around Poplar Street of downtown Macon. For the past 12 years I've lived in Macon, I've seen alot of businesses comes and go in downtown. Just when it's starting to look promising, then it quickly retreats. But maybe the movers and shakers have finally had it and will do something resilience this time around. One of my favorite spot now in downtown is the Taste and See cafe. I love the atmosphere, the menu, and of-course the free wifi.
It is official, it seems that every four or five years, it snows in Macon. It began last night. The weather man says it was going to snow, I was waiting for it in the morning but didn't see anything. Atleast I thought that it might have snowed and melted by the time the sun came creeping in the horizon. But the snow came in the night and its 9am and it is still here. Just made my day. I'm glad I don't have to go to work in this mess.
