I've been noticing lately, that businesses are beginning to flock around Poplar Street of downtown Macon. For the past 12 years I've lived in Macon, I've seen alot of businesses comes and go in downtown. Just when it's starting to look promising, then it quickly retreats. But maybe the movers and shakers have finally had it and will do something resilience this time around. One of my favorite spot now in downtown is the Taste and See cafe. I love the atmosphere, the menu, and of-course the free wifi.
I was really impressed with their chicken salad sandwich. It was soooo gooood.
love the layout and all the art that surrounds you
they even have a living room area!!
with a real fireplace!!! love the ambience
love this reading nook, right next to the fireplace.
Ocmulgee Traders ... an Urban Market, wow coming to downtown Macon soon!!!
can't wait for this to open. I'm definitely going to love to stroll through downtown now.
and I forgot to mention, that it appears to be a new gym right next to this shop too.
Although I hated to see Alphagraphics and that gameroom out of downtown, for now, there seems to be a steady stream of new businesses being attracted to this area. Hopefully it will continue to do so.
