HP Mini 110 Netbook review

I finally got a netbook, not just any netbook but an HP Mini, since its debut from Verizon, I've always wanted one.  But the price was alway so steep.  Here's my take on my new netbook.

Question:  What is the model of my new HP Mini Netbook?

Answer:  HP Mini 110-3731 CL

Question:  What do you I love most about it?

Answer:  The size, the portability, the battery life, over 200 GB of space - lots of space to house my PDFs, Music, Videos, and Pictures.  Beats any tablets so gar, edge to edge keyboard and ofcourse I love it because its HP.

Question:  What I don't like about it so far?

the mouse - I guess while I type sometimes my thumbs gets a little to close for hover on the track or mouse pad and jumps while I type sometimes. Second thing, I'm not happy about, I read on the review on Walmart.com that you can't change the desktop wallpaper and it's sad but it's true - YOU CAN'T CHANGE THE DESKTOP WALLPAPER. Gosh even my cell phone I can change my wallpaper.

Question:  What is my main use for?

Answer:  Blogging.  I'm a blogger fanatic and its perfect.  I don't like to get stuck in house blogging, I do like to visit cafe, parks, travel leisure, and even on the go, like in the car and be able to blog.  Crazy, right!  But anyway, its perfect for that and I can easily check my email, how much I've sold on ebay, adsense and check on friends on facebook.  I really do love this HP netbook.  all thumbs up!!!

Rain and Hale yesterday in Macon Georgia

The day began as another usual September weather.  The sky quickly darkened and rain pouring.  Then all of suden I hear tumpling outside.  I couldn't make out the noise so I looked out to my bedroom window and to my amazement, nickel size ball of ice is falling from the sky.  It's hailing.  And as quickly as the hail and rain arrived five minutes later it was as clear as day and another five minutes, it was hot maybe close to 90 degrees.  And the rest of the day was as bright as any Sunny Day.

Vineville Baptist Church

Vineville Baptist Church traces its history to its founding in 1891. They have a long and distinguished history as an anchor in the Macon Georgia community. Vineville has founded 4 missionary starts in Macon (Ingleside Baptist, Vineville North Baptist, Highland Hills Baptist, and West Highland) and still claims missions as a high priority. Recent activities include 2 international trips (Europe and Zimbabwe), along with a multitude of local and regional efforts.

They are Baptist to the core as they choose to maintain their historical ties with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Georgia Baptist Convention, and the Mid-State Baptist Association.

Vineville Baptist Church

Decided to take a walk just to snap this picture.  This church is located on the corner of Pio Nono Avenue and Vineville Avenue.  There are a lot of churches similar to this in Macon, meaning; brick masonry, castle like, mega church.

Maybe thats what so attractive about Macon, you never really run out of things to take pictures of.  Many century's old architectural buildings like this.  They just don't build churches or houses of worship like this anymore.  Most houses of worship now has a modern look.  So when you live in a city like Macon, who wasn't really affected by wars, the city was able to keep a lot of their architectural history alive.  and thus makes it a scenic and photo-genic city.

Pio Nono Avenue

I needed to get to Office Depot today.  and I also was in need of some serious walking.  And since I now have my trusted companion, my whitmoe utiliy rolling bag, I decided to head for it.  I took my time and I think it took me about an hour to get there from my home.  (LOL) But it was a good walk.  and as I was walking I snap these shots of Pio Nono Avenue of Macon Georgia

what I really like about Macon, is as you can see, sidewalks, The city is filled with sidewalks, its perfect for individuals like me, who choose to walk or ride a bike to our destination.
When I first saw one of these for two cars, I wanted one, until I found out, if I'm not mistaken, it cost just about the same as a regular size car and gulps just about the same amount of fuel per miles as a standard vehicle.  So what's he point, oh you can park it just about anywhere and its soo cute, that's right!  LOL
finally made it to Office Depot shopping center on PioNono Avenue here in Macon Georgia
The one and only Office Depot in Macon.

Washington Avenue

This is a view of Washington Avenue.  As you can see you can actually see two churches from this photo. But you don't see is there are actually 3 churches on this Street and are literally feet away from each other.  Which adds to the fact that Macon Georgia really holds the record for having more Houses of Worship per capita in the nation.

High Street Park in Macon Georgia

These park benches definitely have seen better days.  I wonder when does the Macon Park & Recreation will replace or fix these benches.  This is one of my favorite parks in Macon.

These benches are fine
These apartments overlooking the park, looks like 3 stories high.  I love the architectural spanish deco design.

and overlooking  the park is also the High Street Church, a historical church here in Macon Georgia.

This Church is actually registered as a historical church.  It sits right in front of a park and shaded with trees.  While I was sitting at the park, I snap these photos.  It's a beautiful day in Macon today.  It's probably about 80 degrees out here.

New Event Facility in Macon

I had a chance to take a tour of a new facility in Macon to host a special event.  It's located on Washington Avenue, right next to Joshua House Cafe and almost adjacent to the most popular park in Macon, the Washington Park.  The facility is bright, cleaned, with a huge room to host any gathering such as a wedding reception or an art gallery show.  But what I really love about the place is the additional rooms available, two kitchenettes, four restrooms, and plenty other rooms to host private lounging or enclosed gatherings.  If you're interested, call Ms. Toni Terri at (478) 284-6756 or email her at trichicimage@aol.com
you are looking at 3 rooms that are connected together to form a big space for your upcoming event.
As you can see this space is ready, clean and bright.
This is one of the kitchenette.  There is another one located in the adjacent side of the facility and is a bit larger.

Restrooms for men and women, and another set located in the other side of the facility.

Powerlines in Macon Georgia

I visited my family in Jacksonville Florida last year.  And we drove to a new subdivision.  For some strange reason I felt that there were something missing.  And my eyes opened up when I realized what it was.  As I looked up in the sky, I noticed that the skyline was free of lines and dead towering tree that connects to each other with power-lines.  This suburbia was lacking those tall vertical poles.

So as I was walking today, it reminded me of that moment as I looked up in the sky and the above picture is what I see.  I wonder how many of these tall trees were sacrificed for our electricity.  But it was good to see that the new subdivision or neighborhoods that are being build or construct these days have their powerlines underneath.  It saves trees and less power outages during natural disasters.

This is literally a minute or two of walking distance from my neighborhood in Macon Georgia.  I wonder  does it emits any hazardous radio active energy to those tat lives so close to this facility.  Because there are literally houses and business right next to it and in front of it.

Where to get free Wi-Fi in Macon?

1. Joshua Cup Coffee House 2.Panera Bread 3. Most of McDonald's Restaurants 4.Krystal Fast Food Restaurants 5.Starbucks - My favorite is probably Starbucks and McDonalds because they allow you to stay as long as you want without them giving you any hassle. Plus All the listing here except for Krystals have places for you to plug in your laptop for extra needed power.
